Extrusion of custom aluminium profiles is the core of production at ELVIAL. It is a process that continues to be optimized every day for the past thirty years, through hard work and hands on experience. It is furthermore constantly ameliorating, with the deployment of high-end production equipment.
The extrusion process is practically what goes on in the production unit after the design is finalized. Bridging the product designer’s creativity and vision with the strict demands in mechanical properties can be quite a challenge. ELVIAL is in position to manufacture super demanding profiles, as far as geometry and surface are concerned. We operate 3 extrusion lines with press forces between 22 and 28MN and an annual capacity of 26.000t. The newest 22MN extrusion line runs on an efficient energy saving system that reduces electrical power consumption by 30%. A fourth one is soon going to be added to the plant’s production capacity.
The ELVIAL production lines are part of a fully automated process and, since there’s minimal human involvement, the end result -your custom profile- is a piece of exemplary mechanical properties. Our automated production planning and material handling system ensures complete traceability of the final extruded product. This is part of our professional integrity clause that renders us a reliable partner, protecting both our brand and yours.
Cutting edge CNC machinery and short access times ensure the production of your profile is precise and efficient. The exemplary handling is followed by a thorough and environmentally safe cleaning, that ensures 85% recovery of chemicals used. The process is completed with the storage of your die. The storage is completely robotic, it can accommodate up to 15.000 dies and since it harbors ideal storage conditions the long service life of your die is guaranteed.
